Katonah, New York

After booking the airline tickets for the trip, I started searching Musi-cal and similar sources to see what was happening musically while I was in New Jersey. There were almost too many good things happening Saturday evening, but one stood above the rest. At the Walkabout Clearwater Coffeehouse in Katonah, NY, they were having a show by The Work o' the Weavers, a group reviving the music of the big folk act of the 1950's. Joining the quartet were two of the original Weavers: Pete Seeger and Paul Hellerman. Robert Sherman (of Woody's Children) was the emcee for the show. My boyhood friend, Bob Moss, seemed like someone very likely to enjoy the show, so we went together.
